Privacy Policy for Connect
Effective Date: October 3, 2026
Last Updated: October 3, 2026
Application Name: Connect (Universal Agri / UACI
App)
Developer / Entity: Universal Agro Chemical Industries
(Universal Agri)
Universal Agro Chemical Industries ("we", "our", or "us") operates the
Connect mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy
Policy informs users (field executives, staff, and authorized personnel)
of our policies regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and
protection of personal and sensitive user data when using our App.
Location Data Collection & Usage Disclosure
Connect collects and accesses location data (both precise and
approximate location) to enable:
-
Real-time work route tracking and daily distance calculation for
field executives during active work hours (from "Day Start" to "Day
End").
-
Accurate geolocation tagging for field activities, including farmer
meetings, crop shows, dealer visits, and promotional campaigns.
- Attendance verification and field visit validation.
Background Location Access: Connect collects location
data even when the app is closed or running in the background, but
only while an executive has an active work day session
initiated ("Day Start"). Background tracking automatically stops as
soon as the executive ends their day ("Day End") or logs out. Location
data is never collected outside work hours without user action, and is
never used or sold for advertising purposes.
1. Information We Access and Collect
To provide field operation and campaign management services, the App
collects the following categories of information:
a. Location Information (Personal and Sensitive Data)
-
Precise and Approximate Location (GPS and Network-based):
We collect geographic coordinates (latitude, longitude, speed, and
accuracy) to record field visits, track travel routes, and calculate
work distance.
-
Background Location (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION):
Used continuously during active work shifts so executives do not need
to keep the screen on while traveling between rural locations and farm
sites.
b. Camera and Photos
-
Camera & Storage (READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, CAMERA):
Used solely to capture and upload photos of crop shows, farmer
meetings, campaign banners, and field proofs as submitted by
executives during report filing.
c. Device and Identification Information
-
Device Identifiers: We collect hardware identifiers
(such as unique device IDs) to ensure single-device login security,
prevent fraudulent duplicate check-ins, and secure executive accounts.
-
User Credentials & Profile: Employee code/login ID,
name, assigned operational territory, and contact details provided by
the organization.
2. How We Use Collected Data
The collected data is strictly used for legitimate internal business and
operational purposes:
- Verifying attendance and travel allowances for field personnel.
-
Mapping agricultural outreach programs, farmer meetings, and campaign
effectiveness.
-
Facilitating administrative oversight, route optimization, and
reporting to management.
-
Ensuring account integrity, fraud prevention, and device-level
authentication.
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosure
-
No Commercial Sale: We do NOT sell, rent, or lease
personal or location data to third parties.
-
No Third-Party Advertising: The App does not contain
third-party ad networks or trackers (such as AdMob or Facebook Ads).
-
Service Infrastructure: Location and operational
reports are securely transmitted to our internal company servers over
encrypted HTTPS connections (SSL/TLS).
-
Legal Compliance: We will only disclose information
if required to do so by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
4. Data Retention and Security
-
Security: All communication between the Connect app
and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS
protocols. Access to executive tracking data is restricted to
authorized administrative personnel.
-
Retention Period: Location logs and operational
records are retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill
operational audits, payroll verification, and statutory accounting
requirements.
5. Account & Data Deletion Policy
Users or organizations have the right to request deletion of their
account and associated personal data:
-
Executives who depart the organization or users wishing to delete
their data may submit a request by contacting our administration at
info@universalagri.net.
-
Upon verification, account credentials and personal identifiable
information will be permanently deactivated and purged in accordance
with our data retention schedule, unless retention is mandated by law.
6. Permissions and User Control
You may revoke location, camera, or notification permissions at any time
through your device's
Settings > Apps > Connect > Permissions.
Please note that disabling location permissions will prevent you from
initiating Day Start, logging field visits, or submitting campaign
reports.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect operational
changes or regulatory updates. Any changes will be posted directly on
this page with an updated effective date.
